Policies and Tuition Classroom Attire Proper dance wear and shoes are required. Please be sure your child’s name is clearly labeled on his/her shoes. Ballet and Pointe Pink ballet or Pointe shoes Leotard Tights Hair secured away from the face Optional dance skirt or shorts may be worn No baggy “gym” style clothes or street clothes. Jazz Black jazz shoes Leotard Tights Optional dance skirt, shorts, or pants may be worn by dancers in the Sunday classes. Hair secured away from the face Hip-Hop and Tap Dance clothing that allows for freedom of movement. Black shoes Hair secured away from the face. Adult Classes Ballet shoes Clothing that allows for freedom of movement, preferably not too baggy.

Tuition A $35 registration fee is due at the time of registration. Tuition is a monthly fee and is due on the first of the month. A $20 late fee will be applied if payment is not received by the 7th of the month. A debit/credit card must be on file and if tuition is not paid or payment arrangements made with Kate Humble by the 7th of each month,  the debit/credit card on file will be charged for the monthly tuition along with any late fees accrued. There is a discount for families with multiple children enrolled in classes. Preschool Ballet: $45 per month One hour ballet/tap class: $50 per month 1.25 hour ballet/tap class: $55 per month 1.5 hour ballet/tap class: $60 per month 30 minute jazz or hip hop class: $20 per month 45 minute jazz or hip hop class: $25 per month Each additional class: Add $20 per month Starlets: $90 per month All-Stars: $95 per month Shooting Stars: $95 per month Supernovas: $95 Elite: $105 per month

Drop-off and pick-up Students should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before class begins. We cannot be responsible for children left unattended. Children under the age of 10 should not be left unattended in the lobby. Please do not allow children to run through the lobby, stand on the furniture or enter the dance studio before their class time. Also, please pick up your child promptly when their class is completed. Students should wait inside the lobby for their ride to arrive.

Storm days and cancellations Dance classes are not cancelled for school holidays. In the case of bad weather, assume there is class unless the area schools close. Classes cancelled by KHSD for any reason are made up at a scheduled time. Studio closings will be announced on the website, on our Facebook page, and local news websites.

Class Attendance There are no refunds for missed classes. If your dancer decides that they are going to drop a class, you must notify Kate prior to the start of the month or you will be responsible for paying tuition for that month. If your child drops a class in the middle of the month, you are responsible for paying for the entire month. Tuition is not prorated.

Classroom Rules Cell phones are not permitted inside the studio. Street shoes are not permitted on the dance floor. No chewing gum in class. No food or drink, other than water, is allowed in the classroom. Please do not send sports drinks, pop, juice, etc. to dance class. 

Winter Showcase: We are excited to announce that this year we are adding a Winter Showcase to our schedule! We have not set a date yet but are looking at the middle of December. If you know of school events or other scheduling conflicts for that time, please contact Kate with that information. Costumes for the Winter Showcase will be ordered in September and will be used in our Spring Recital as well. Cost of costumes will need to be paid in full before they are ordered. Spring Recital and Costumes We will hold a recital in the spring to show off everything we have learned throughout the year! There will be a $85 recital fee per family, due in March. There will be no admission fee to attend the recital. Costumes for the spring recital will be purchased in November and December. Cost of costumes will vary from $50 up to $90 per costume.
